Just in time for our chilly fall weather, Agloves sent me a pair of their sport gloves to try out. Now, being the badass Midwesterner that I am, and because, like a dog, I seem to sweat through my paws, er I mean palms, it has to be below 25 or so for me to even consider wearing gloves when I run.
Plus who wants to fumble with gloves when you adjust your phone, tunes, fuel, and what not?
Therein lies the beauty of Agloves. They’re knit from a stretchy acrylic/spandex blend and feature silver filament that provides all the conductivity needed to use touchscreen phones, iPods, etc.
Since it’s still in the 40′s here, I haven’t yet run with my Agloves but I’ve done plenty of bike riding in them and have put them through their paces with my iPhone, iPod and iPad.
They are stretchy and fit my hands comfortably.
They wicked moisture away and stayed dry through my bike rides.
I was able to handle my fuel, iPhone and iPod with ease. They also worked great with my iPad in case you were wondering. Beyond sports, I’m thinking this is a great all around glove because you truly do not have to take it off.
I hand washed them in cool water and air dried. They kept every bit of their conductivity afterward.
The holidays will be here before we know it and these make a great gift…just saying….

Check out the limited-time, less-than-half-price deal going on right now at Jasmere.
We’re in for a couple days of cold rain starting tomorrow. It took major restraint on my part to be smart with the dicey hip and not run two days in a row.
I ended up doing plyo intervals on the mill instead. The cardio intervals were spent walking incline mostly. Ok, I ran some….but slow. Hip felt good.
Running Ricig has another Kisses for Kate bake sale coming up later this month. Again, yours truly is baking. I planned to make Oatmeal Toffee Crunch Cookies but now I’m worried they’ll be too fragile to ship. I spent some quality time in the test kitchen today. Want a clue? Blondes, brunettes and redheads.
To my Tweeps who saw my Amber Alert for the missing Zensah Arm Sleeves, I’m happy to report they have been located. I was panicked to say the least.
Speaking of Amber Alerts, I’m pretty sure my stylist at the hair salon has issued one for me. Either that or she put my face on a milk carton. (Do they even do that anymore?) All of my hair is long enough to make it into a ponytail for the first time in maybe ever.
I’ve been feverishly prepping for our annual Halloween Party this weekend, plus the ones the kids are having at school. I set out in search of candy corn, not so much because I’m an addict (although I do think it might be good running fuel) but because, you know, the cooler weather brings out my crafty side. Alas, after hitting 3 stores, I was still candy cornless. Thankfully Target did not disappoint and I threw myself over four pounds of the stuff and hauled it home, only to realize later there are tree nuts involved in it’s manufacture–taboo for school. Boo.
What are you giving away on Halloween?
