I’m so not into the whole Hollywood scene and, while once upon a time I worked in the fashion industry, these days I am hard pressed to make it to the school bus stop in anything more exotic than a tired pair of yoga pants and a half-zip, bonus if it’s unstained.
I heard the other day that Pantone, the world-renowned authority on color, proclaimed its 2012 color of the year is Tango Tangerine.
Upon this news I couldn’t help but think At last! The time has come for masters mojo orange! Runners everywhere have suffered way too long with a reputation of being nerdy and possessing questionable taste.
Well I’ve got news for you Pantone: this orange color you so fancily refer to as Tango Tangerine is nothing new in running circles.
A quick visit to my trusty running warehouse…closet… drawer unearthed a treasure trove of the tangy hue:
And I’ll have you know, race directors are on to the beauty of orange as well.
Even my three most recent race medals have been orange.
Anyone care to predict what next year’s Color of the Year will be?
I’m going with PURPLE!
