Mezamashii Project Giveaway
Categories: Giveaway, Mezamashii Project, Mizuno, Stuff I Love
Mizuno and I go way back. They were the shoes I wore to train and race my first half marathon back in 2007. I’ve worn them for all of the 21 half marathons I’ve run since then. They’ve carried me through my first marathon, the very hot and cancelled Chicago 2007, two Boston qualifiers and 2 Boston Marathons. The Mizuno Wave Creation has been my partner for all 6 of my marathons so far. Although Creations are my main squeeze, I spend quality time in Wave Precisions and Wave Riders as well. I am a huge Mizuno fan to say the least.
My current stable of Mizuno shoes is… um… a little expansive:
I am honored to be a founding member of the Mezamashii Project. Mezamashii is a Japanese word for brilliant. I’ve had my share of brilliant runs wearing Mizuno shoes. Mizuno and I would love to share some of that brilliance with you with a pair of Mizunos of your own.

I want to create more brilliant runs. Love mizuno and can’t wait to run in their shoes.
Most recent brilliant run was the Brooklyn HM. Huge PR, great course, great day, amazing feeling!
My best recent run was my first half marathon in Long Branch, NJ.
I would love to try these shoes, I’m trying all different brands right now to find my best one!

I was the slowest runner on my firecrew. I went to fight fire in Oregon for 3 weeks. Upon my return, I ran the fastest on our training runs for 2 solid weeks after my trip. Gotta love altitude training. It was brilliant.

My first 5k since turning 33 will be brilliant.
I LOVE my mizunos. I am on my 2nd pair.
On Friday, I finally had a good long run. All of my long runs this training session have been less than steller. THe weather has been hot!
I love the idea behind this project. Thanks for hosting.
I ran in a local 5k with my oldest son (age 8) and had a great time bonding with him over the first mile of the course. After that I could no longer keep up with him but felt great during the rest of the run knowing that somehow, some way I have inspired him to take a path of physical fitness that will last him hopefully through the rest of his long fruitful life.
i never had a brilliant run
I had a great mile run after an awesome 23 mile bike ride
I had a brilliant run when I completed my first half marathon and actually placed 3rd in my age group! I couldnt believe it! Nothing feels better than setting a goal for yourself and achieving it! I am hoping to run my first full marathon by the end of the year but we will see…ive heard amazing things about Mizunos!!
I liked you on FB too!
I love the idea of this project and I love Mizunos! Congrats on being selected! Each training cycle has many types of runs, some easy and some hard. Working towards a goal makes them all brilliant!
I would LOVE to try these – think they would make all my runs brilliant
My brilliant run is when I run with my son in his stroller early in the morning. It is a time when everything is quiet and it is just us together in a peaceful time. He loves it and I love it! This time together is a little reprieve from the chaos that is about to ensue when we get home to breakfast and Phineas and Ferb madness! I love this sweaty and quiet time and it is what is brilliant to me!

I’d love a new pair of runners!
I have never run in Mizuno’s. So I want to have a brillian Run with them!! But this weekend, I had a pretty brilliant run…i ran leg6 for my relay team in the Sinister 7 Ultra Marathon. y leg started at about 12:35 am and finished a little over 2 hours later. A tough 14 km slog down a mountain, though creeks, muddy and VERY rocky terrain. I was SCARED! a Bear and cougar had been seen earlier! It was pitch black, dead quiet. I could hear my breathing and footsteps. And sometimes a runner if they came up from behind. GORGEOUS. It was all about ME. and perseverance, and keeping the pace, and keeping the faith, and feeling strong and knowing I was part of a great team that was just about to complete a 148km trek. I can, I will, I have….what a brilliant feeling to come down the mountain!!!!
I tweeted about this FAB giveaway too!
Ive been out of shape for so long, and got back into running not too long ago. It had been years since I could even run a mile, but I accomplished that about a month ago. I know its a little milestone, but I was very proud of myself!
would love to see if these running shoes are for me! I have heard such great things and would like to experience my brilliant run in them!
I tweeted and followed on facebook!!!! I’ll jump thru hoops for a chance to test these shoes!

I shared on facebook in a last ditch effort to get more entrants & entries!
I haven’t had any brilliant runs. My runs generally consist of spending a half hour to 45 minutes on a treadmill at the YMCA. I’ve really gotten into cycling this year and am starting to consider trying to run a 5k sometime in the near future too.
I haven’t had one brilliant run lately it has been every run in the last little while. I had been in a running funk, and it feels great to finally have broken the funk.
My brilliant run would be to be able to run 5K! I’m working on it!!
I left a post on my Facebook wall about the giveaway!
The runs I love are my lunch time trail runs down to the beach… splashing through mud and all. Even better are the times I am struggling through a run and the perfect song starts playing.
I linked to your giveaway on my blog!
A brilliant run for me is one where I can zone out and feel like I’m flying. If it’s raining (warm rain), that is a plus!
My brilliant runs have been my long distance runs around Stanley Park in Vancouver BC, as I am training for my first ultra in September!
My brilliant run was my last marathon in March. I stopped watching the watch and just RAN – changed my running life
any run after kids is great for me
The most recent brilliant run I had was last week when I decided to knock out a few Yasso 800′s. If I won a pair of Mizuno’s I would love to register for another marathon before the end of 2012 and use them as my trainers!
