Weightloss Wednesday Week 6: Small Changes

February 17, 2016

Did you notice I skipped an update on Operation Drop 10 lbs last week? Shhhhh. I talked about ditching sugar instead. Actually I’m finding the weighing thing tedious, probably because the weight isn’t exactly falling off. This journey is about small changes. While the scale (the Inquisitor) and I are still on a first name [Read More]

Weightloss Week 4: Weights and Measures

February 3, 2016

How can a whole month have passed since I took on my Operation Drop 10 weightloss initiative? What is it they say? The days are long but the years are short. In this case the month was short. Even though the scale (aka the Inquisitor) didn’t smile so favorably on me, I feel like I [Read More]

Weightloss Week 2: Where’s My Groove?

January 19, 2016

Two weeks have passed since I started Operation drop 10 lbs (#OpDrop10). In order to hold my feet to the proverbial fire, I’m checking in here every Wednesday until this mission is accomplished. So let’s get to this past week. I’ve stuck with the plan. Chalk it up to persistence. What went well: I’ve been [Read More]

Weightloss Week 1: Fail to Plan

January 13, 2016

Week 1 of operation drop 10 lbs. is in the books. To hold my feet to the fire and keep me accountable, I’ll be logging my progress, or lack thereof, here every week. Despite my best intentions…mostly…the week ended up mediocre at best. Mostly because I failed to plan sufficiently. Like most, I started out [Read More]

Weightloss Wednesday Good/Bad/Ugly

February 6, 2013

This first week had it’s ups and downs. Good: Food and exercise-wise I slammed it. I was verrrry good on the food front. I hit all my workouts but that’s to be expected right? The food is where I get into trouble. I set up my weightloss goal on my Fitbit Aria scale, aka El [Read More]

WIAW: Post Vacation Edition

April 4, 2012

It’s time once again for What I Ate Wednesday, compliments of Peas and Crayons. It’s also time for me to face the dragon and get my post-cruise carcass back on the scale. Let’s just say I more than made up for any carb depletion I was experiencing before I left. Here’s how yesterday’s, back-to-the grind [Read More]

What I Ate/Weigh-In Wednesday

March 7, 2012

Thank you all for the get well wishes! Thankfully the fever has broken, the aches/pains/chills are gone, there’s still considerable chestular gunk but overall I am feeling worlds better and will attempt a very easy run today. In honor of WIAW, here’s  my day in food: The day started with some green tea. Breakfast was [Read More]

What I Ate/Weigh-In Wednesday

November 16, 2011

With renewed focus on reeling in my weight before it gets completely out of control, I’ve joined What I Ate Wednesday at Peas and Crayons. I was off to a strong start (down 1.8 pounds) last week before leaving for NYC.  Alas that progress was blown to shreds. No thanks to this tasty morsel from [Read More]

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
