5 Amazing Things to Do for Yourself This Summer

June 30, 2016

We’ve had a gorgeous summer here so far. Alas it slips away all too quickly. Sometimes there’s so much we want to do/go/see with family and friends, we don’t take the time to truly relax and care for ourselves. Here are some small, simple things that add up to a more pleasant, less stressed season. [Read More]

Weightloss Week 3: Optimism

January 26, 2016

Three weeks have passed now since I started my weightloss Operation drop 10 lbs (#OpDrop10). In order to hold my feet to the proverbial fire, I’m checking in here every week until the weightloss mission is accomplished. Let’s get to this past week. Weightloss: What went well I’ve got a 16-day food-logging streak going over [Read More]

POM Wonderful

October 21, 2010

Ryan at Pom Wonderful sent me some 100% pomegranate juice. It came at the perfect time: when I was finishing up my longest runs and making it through the fall racing season. It’s delicious after a hot run. I also regularly add into my apres-workout protein shake. Very refreshing and a great antioxidant. All the better [Read More]

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
