Three Things Thursday

1. Thank You!
Thanks so much to all who shared their wisdom yesterday regarding my PT fiasco. As usual your insights, resources, and recommendations were invaluable. Despite my dissatisfaction with the PT place I went to (BTW it was not one recommended by my doc, I chose it because they supposedly specialized in therapy for athletes–ha!) I have learned a boat load of hip/glute strengthening exercises that I will continue to do on my own for now.
I am seeking a myofascial release specialist though because that’s something I think I need on a regular basis.

2. Somebody Ran Yesterday
Yes it was me! It was just a few leaden, miserable miles…wait…yes they were leaden but they were by no means miserable. The hip felt great!!! I was winded and wheezing, mostly because I’m still getting over last week’s nasty cold. I’m not sure yet what my comeback plan is, but I am cautiously hopeful!

1. Marathon of Soup
Our glorious warm weather has been replaced by rain and falling temps. A perfect day to conjure up some soup!
First up: Roasted Sweet Potato/Tomato
Followed by Chicken Tortilla Soup
and bringing it home for a strong finish with some Classic Minestrone. Exact recipe TBD.

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
