Three Things Thursday

1. I overslept until 6:30 today, which is pretty rare for this early bird, no-alarm girl. I’m thinking it’s residual fatigue from the destination race weekend. I had this really weird, yet beautiful dream where I was sitting at a table at an outdoor cafe with my dad. There were stunning castles in misty mountains all around us. This worries me because my dad is having knee-replacement surgery in a few days and he’s not in the greatest shape (obese, Type II diabetes) to withstand surgery. Hoping that was not a premonition of some sort.

2. I finally got a new blender after breaking the old one. It was hard to be recovery shakeless for any length of time. Even though making shakes and pureeing soup is pretty much all I ever use a blender for, I felt like I should do some research on the best one to get, yet I never got around to that. There is such a huge price range I wonder what a $100 blender does that a $25 one does not. Finally I pulled the trigger and settled on a cheap but so far more than adequate Oster.
What kind of blender do you have?

3. My bike is still not on the trainer. Our winter has been so mild I’m still riding outside. It was 35 here this morning so how could I not resist taking a spin? I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll use the trainer at all this season. Not complaining!
