October Stuff I Love

Categories: Athleta, Beet Juice, Stuff I Love, Trader Joe's

Time already for another installment of stuff I’m digging. Time flies!

Athleta’s Power Mesh CYA  Skirt. OMG kids this makes my heart sing. Gorgeous color and print. Slip it over capris, tights or compression shorts. This one’s a top contender for Marine Corps Marathon attire. I can’t help but wonder if I could rock my pirate boots with it. Love, love, love!

Trader Joe’s Beet & Purple Carrot Juice. Warning: I don’t love the way it tastes. It’s pretty horrible actually. But ever since Carilyn sang the praises of beet juice and it’s cardiovascular benefits, how could I not give it a try? You know I love me some voodoo. I can’t guarantee this juice is fully responsible, but ever since I came back from the thin air in Denver, I’m a new woman with more lung capacity. My runs are faster with less effort. Placebo effect? Maybe, but who cares?

Yurbuds for WOMEN! Just when I thought Yurbuds could not get any better, these show up!  I tried a boatload of earphones before finding the perfect fit for my tiny, delicate (alright I’ll shut up now) ears. They fit great, do not fall out and the sound quality is excellent. Stay tuned for a full review. And yes, I just might have a pair to giveaway!

Tell me what you’re loving this month!

Are you racing this weekend?

  2. Hikermom says:

  3. That skirt is super cute! I need to get me one of those! And I’m all for the placebo effect – whatever works :)

  4. Raina says:

I am NOT loving beet juice! hahahahaha
What I am loving is the weather – perfect for racing :)

I bet your body really IS happy to come down from the altitude. I wish I could spend a week there just to come back to sea level!

  5. Molly says:

I have those yurbuds too! Love them! happy weekend!

  6. Yum- that beet and purple carrot juice looks fantastic! I’m loving that summer is finally almost over and we’re spending so much more time outside. :) Lovely morning at the zoo today!

  7. Michelle @ Running with Attitude says:

That skirt is so cute! Love it.

The juice looks good… I do so wish TJs would come to Canada!

I am loving that sweet potatoes and squashes are finally at great prices.

  10. Black Knight says:

In my opinions there are 2 stuff difficult to find for the perfect fit: the hearphones and the swimming-glasses.
Another tough month for me and no races. The things go really bad; the injury doesn’t heal.

  11. Runner Dad says:

I just love this time of year for the weather and the memories it brings of running Cross Country in high school. I love apple picking with my wife (and now 7 week old son) and enjoying all things pumpkin. And when I’m in shape, this is always a good time of year to race.

  12. I just got the Yurbuds to try too. They’re awesome.

    Cute skirt!

  13. Mandy says:

I always love this what I’m digging posts! I may have to look into those skirts!

  14. elizabeth says:

ooh, perhaps i will try the juice-if it’s good for me and all. and hoping i get to try the yurbuds!
