Tell Me Something Good

June 8, 2018

Good times. These are the good times….

Do you remember that song? Or is it a blast from too far in the past?

It’s Friday, it’s just about summer, the weather’s been great, so let’s talk about good things. Ready?

Remember that group fun run Wendy and I planned on behalf of the RocknRoll Race Series? Everything came together beautifully, we had a wonderful turnout and SO MUCH FUN!

Truly the running community is a vibrant one and I feel so blessed to be part of it.

It was a really fun evening of running, snacks, swag and all the talk about what else? Running!

My fall races are getting real!

The Zooma Summer Challenge started this week. It’s a 6 week challenge featuring workouts, recipes, crosstraining and culminates in a progressive half marathon. It’s the perfect kickoff to Zooma half marathon training. Join me at Zooma Great Lakes this fall or save on any Zooma race with MARCIA2018.

My Lululemon Sea Wheeze race shorts arrived! I love the fun colors, pattern and they fit great. They came with an adorable Pocket Coach training booklet that is, in a word, adorable. Leave it to Lulu to be so much fun. Suddenly I’m feeling pumped to run along that seawall in Vancouver!

There’s still one more fall race hanging out there that’s TBD. Will it be a MARATHON? A half? Not even I know the answer to that at this point!

Will I see you at RnRCHI this summer? What fall races are you #running? #rocknblog @runrocknroll

I will be singing that song all morning long 🙂 I do have something good. I’ve been feeling wobbly lately but I made myself stop and look in the rearview mirror and reflect and see how wobbly are used to be seven months ago. In comparison? I am kicking ass 🙂

So much fun! I may have to reconsider my ban on Lulu after seeing those shorts–I know they’re just for Seawheeze but it reminds me of how cute their stuff is. Sigh. I am weak.

    The shorts are super cute!

After a long drought in races I am actually signed up for a half in 2019 already. And miracles of miracles, Mr. Judy seems to be embracing it. I guess that’s what I have to do — just do it, LOL. I did mention it, but he was preoccupied with other stuff so yeah, I just did it.

Those shorts are funky!! I’m glad your GRD event went well! I”m glad I got out early (at 05:00 a.m.) for my run because our weather turned rather ugly 12 hours later.

Thank goodness for blogs, or else I wouldn’t know it was Global Running Day! I don’t think I ran on Global Running Day, I think I did a deck of cards workout. But that’s okay. Burpees are important too!

That’s a very fun pattern. I’ve heard great things about the Sea Wheeze race. I have one race this fall, and I’m already looking forward to it.

I totally started signing that song so I don’t think it’s too much a blast from the past. 🙂

I hope I get to actually physically make it to Chicago next month… would be amazing to meet you!
