Happy Halloween!

October 30, 2009

I hope everyone enjoys a spooktacular weekend! Our heaven-knows-what-annual Halloween party was last weekend–can’t impinge on peak trick-or-trating hours you know. Contrary to what my guests who were being far too polite said, I went as the world’s poorest imitation of Julia Child. But the chili throwdown and party overall were loads of fun. Let’s talk about one of the best parts of Halloween–that’s right the CANDY! I came across a list of the 9 worst kinds of candy to give on Halloween:
9. Pumpkin candy corn (not sure I’ve ever seen this)
8. Fruit flavored Tootsie rolls (I don’t mind the vanilla ones)
7. Gumdrops
6. Bit-O-Honey (only if I’m really desperate)
5. Necco Wafers
4. Root Beer Barrels
3. Wax Bottles
2. Sesame Crunch
1. Circus Peanuts
Lets turn the tide here and talk about the positives. What’s your FAVORITE candy to get on Halloween? And what are you giving out this year?
For me I think I’ll have to go with something Reese’s as my fave. I simply cannot resist a good ole PB cup. And I love, love, love those Reese’s Wafer sticks!
We are giving out: what else? Reese’s sticks, PB cups, Kit Kats, eyeball suckers, gummy bugs and some really cool fang whistles. Be safe and have fun everyone!
Good luck to all my friends running the
NYC MARATHON this weekend!
Good luck in your 1/2 marathon MEL-TALL MOM!

Hi there, thanks for stopping by my blog. Sorry it has taken me so long to come over and say hi. Have a great weekend!

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
