Weekend Recap

December 8, 2009

The Good
We found a new babysitter the kids love! Maybe now we’ll get out more than once a decade…then again maybe not.
I took Thing 2 to a birthday party at the Build-A-Bear Workshop, Fifteen 4 year olds + assorted bears in various stages of creation = cuteness overload.
Modern Caveman took Thing 1 ice skating. Apparently what happens at the rink stays there.
MC and I enjoyed a rare night out at his holiday party. I had my annual glass of wine…if my pic is not in the dictionary under lightweight, it should be.
Ouchie those pushups are tough! But I’m still hanging tough in week 6.

The Bad
Did I say Ouchie those pushups are tough?
The sugar-free diet train is still derailed due to a dangerous chocolate mousse in the tracks…and some birthday cake….and I went out and bought not 1 not 3 but 4 freaking bags of holiday chocolates, ie Candy Cane Kisses, Dove something or other, etc. under the pretense that I’d stuff photo mugs with it for gifts…until then it’s all screaming for me from the pantry….I need my head examined!

The Fugly
Fugly Betty toenail behaved herself through the party and keeps on hanging on… maybe I’ll start a pool guessing when she’ll finally decide to fall off….but whatever would the prize be?

Alrighty then, I’m off for my date with the dreadmill….today’s “major snow event” has me seeking refuge indoors! Have a great day!

I'm stuck on the 15 four year olds at build-a-bear. Oh my, I can't believe you went. Thing 2 is very lucky.

Why didn't I know we were supposed to get so much snow? Wah! I was really hoping I would not have to run indoors this early in the season.

Sounds like a fun weekend. Build-a-Bear is SO CUTE! Sometimes I make my husband go in there with me just to look ๐Ÿ™‚ (at the bears, not the kids!)

I'm glad to read that Fugly Betty decided to attend- and stay on your foot for the party.

Just reading about your push-ups made me tired. :p

I have been forced to date my treadmill again. (yuck!) It's really a pity date for him. He knows how grouchy I get if I don't run so he's agreed to see me again. Neither one of us is happy about it!

Hope this bad weather does not last long.
