Three Things

February 11, 2010

1. To the Victors Go the Spoils! No I didn’t ‘win’ Casey’s virtual 10k but I always feel like a winner when I run. Look at this cute bracelet she sent to commemorate the event! I love the red for Valentine’s day! I took this pic shortly before said bracelet was confiscated by Thing 1. In case you didn’t know, bracelets like this one are all the rage among the younger set. Thanks Casey!

2. Wow my mailbox has been full of nice surprises lately! Here’s what my ‘secret Valentine’ sent: it’s from Allison. Thank you Allison! It’s always fun to meet new bloggy friends!

3. Last AND Least: I hate to put it here but I will in hopes you’ll all send me good, healing vibes. My fling with the Isaac Newtons has left me with a strained achilles. Bad enough to pull the plug on yesterday’s speedwork and swap it for some a lot of cycling. When will I learn?

cute bracelet! Hope your achilles feels better soon, I think it's just the nature of the Runner's Beast to push it when we know the outcome might not be the best!

Stupid Newton's. Have to wonder why such a well-designed shoe would cause that type of injury. Have I missed something?

Oh, Marcia, that is such a drag about your achilles! But you're smart and resting it will be the best thing (spoken by someone who's done the opposite!). Sending healing vibes your way.

Boooo! Sorry about the fall. I'm sending healing vibes your way, though my chiro thinks I'm jinxed, so I won't send too many.

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
