What a drawn out and nasty little game this has turned out to be.
In case you missed it, the whole sordid affair began with Bachelor #1, which put my sorry cheating achilles on injured reserve for 4 weeks smack dab in the middle of Boston training. Impeccable timing, not. Needless to say I sent him packing.
Then came Bachelor #2: a total hottie: The Nike LunarGlide. I’m keeping him around for shorter romps runs and maybe speedwork, when I get back to that sort of thing.
Finally a true love connection: Meet Bachelor #3! The Mizuno Wave Creation. Yep, it’s just an updated version of my old standby that has brought me across the threshold finish line at all 4 of my marathons to date. We were out together for a glorious 10-miler this morning and things look promising.
Breaking news for Running Moms!! Big shoutout to Sarah and Dimity the Marathon Moms themselves on the release of their book “Run Like a Mother”. I hope the Mizuno Wave Creation gives you a steady relationship of greatness. For me, it took about 3-4 different shoes that were suppose to be good until I found the right ones.
