Three Things

March 18, 2010

Pressing My Luck
Despite Dr. Miracle Worker’s ban from speedwork and hills, I pushed the proverbial envelope and defied his orders yesterday. It was such a nice day–temps in the 50’s sunny, mild breeze, how could I not press the pace, even a little? I’m so far off my FIRST plan I knew just cracking the book open to see what’s on tap would depress me. So I decided on some gentle intervals. If intervals are wrong, I don’t wanna be right! I can’t tell you how great it felt to put it in a higher gear after all these weeks! I ended up with 6x400m, oh about 7:30 pace. Satisfying.

Before and After
Shelly requested pre and apres run pics. Ask and you shall receive!
My girl posse squeezed in beforehand as usual.
But afterward, nobody wanted to come near my wild, sweaty self.
Are they trying to tell me something??
40-Day Challengers!
If you boarded the ark with me last week, I’ll be checking in at the 10, 20, 30 and 40-day points to see how you’re all doing on the goal you set for yourself. Me? I’m still plugging away. WE WILL GET THERE!

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
