Vega One Love

March 16, 2012

The kind peeps at Vega sent me more goodies to try. I was so impressed with the Vega Sport Products, I was more than eager to give Vega One all-in-one nutritional shake mix a try. As you know, I’ve been making a concerted effort to start my post-run recovery fueling sooner after finishing my runs. Vega One shakes help me do just that.

Vega One is so easy to use. I just poured it in a shaker cup, added water, a couple of ice cubes and shook it up. It is plant based: dairy, gluten and soy free with no added sugar, artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. Look what you get in every serving:

  • 50% daily intake of vitamins and minerals
  • 15 g protein
  • 6 g fibre
  • 1.5 g Omega-3
  • Antioxidants
  • Probiotics
  • Greens

4 great flavors: Natural, Berry, Chocolate and Vanilla Chai. OMG the chocolate was so so good. I splashed a little coconut milk in with the water and it truly was heaven in a shaker cup. The Vanilla Chai was fabulous as well. I am definitely taking some Vega One to my half marathon this weekend so I can start my recovery fueling before I even get in the car to go home.

Note: I received Vega One samples free of charge, however my opinions are my own.

Has hell frozen over? In case you want to see me in all my speaking glory, I made a Vega One YouTube video that I posted on my Facebook Page but, due to extreme techo-dunciosity, can’t seem to post here. Feel free to stop by over there and say hi!

Who is racing this weekend? I am!

Have you entered my giveaway?

I’ve never tried Vega One but I’ve been looking for a good powder mix. This looks promising – thanks, as always, for the honest review!

A good to know! I usually drink (or eat) 3-4 different things to get all that you have in that 1 container. It’s amazing that it tastes good too! Is the carb:protein ratio 4:1, also?

Oh this sounds so yummy! I have been drinking chocolate milk after work outs – maybe I should give Vega a try!
