Injinji Toesock Giveaway and a Winner

July 11, 2012

When some Injinji Toesocks showed up here for trial, I won’t lie, I was skeptical. I am the high priestess of blisters. Actually I tried Injinjis years ago when I was just getting into distance running and they were a no-go. But you know what they say: open mind…

So I gave them another try and this time things were different. Apparently Injinji makes a whole mess of different kinds of toesocks. In cool colors too! These were the lightweight version. According to Injinji:

The Performance Series Lightweight Toesock™ is designed to offer a sleek and ultra thin interface for performance in any shoe, climate and terrain.

I’ve worn them with my Mizunos on roads and trails, on runs up to 12 miles. So far my feet have been amazingly blister- and pain-free. I’ll continue to wear them as my marathon-training mileage increases. Who knows? They might even make an appearance at the Marine Corps Marathon this fall.

I really didn’t think I’d be here telling you I like these socks. But I do. Give them a try!

WIN IT!
Two lucky readers will win a pair of Injinji Toe Socks!

I”m skeptical of those socks, too. I’ve tried wearing the Five Fingers and they are so awkward between your toes! Do the socks feel like that too?

My wife got me my first pair of Injinji. I had a problem with a couple of toes rubbing together on longer runs – problem solved. Injini socks rule!

Honestly, I want to try them just b/c my husband is constantly telling me I must. Those are the only socks he’ll run in now.

I’ve never tried the toe socks but I would like to give them a try.

I’ve been wearing these and my crooked pinkies aren’t so sure they like them – interesting feeling though.

I am also skeptical of these type of socks but am curious to try them. Seems as though they would “tighten up” the toe box a bit with the added fabric possibly causing more blistering. I have been a fan of Balega for quite some time and have had great success but wouldn’t mind broadening my horizons.

I LOVE Ininji toe socks and use them for most of my runs. I really like the no-show lightweight ones in fun colors (read: bright green). They help me avoid blisters between my toes.

I have pair of injinji toe socks and I actually like them a lot, though the individual toe thing took some getting used to! I’ve never gotten a blister in them 🙂

I love toe socks! I am that awkward 20-something who still owns multi-colored striped toe socks and wears them around the house in the winter. My boyfriend can’t stand it, but I love them! I would love to try these toe socks for my half marathon in particular because last year I got a blister where two of my toes were rubbing together on the run. These look like the perfect solution and like so much fun!

I’ve been itchin’ to get me some five fingers, and this just may tip me over:)

As a regular toesock wearer when I was young, I hadn’t worn them since about the 11th grade and was a bit skeptical when I saw them. But I too am the queen of blisters. Every single pair of shoes, running shoes included, needs to be broken in and I will get blisters (this process can sometimes take months and I have a favorite pair of flip flops that I’ve had since 2006 that was well worn, but if I go a few months without wearing them and put them on, I’ll get blisters). After my first 1/2 marathon, I ended up with a quarter+ sized blister on the balls of both of my feet. It was pain I had never felt before. I needed a solution or I’d have to stop running! That’s where Injinji came in. I’ve run 4 1/2 marathons since then and have been blister free!

I always need to add to the stock 🙂

  28. Cassandra says

    July 11, 2012 at 10:35 am

They look a little thick…? But if they prevent blisters, I would love to give them a shot…my poor middle toes get abused by all the others 😉

  29. K says

    July 11, 2012 at 10:42 am

I’m skeptical too. Try and make a believer out of me! 🙂

  30. Carrie says

I’ve been getting blisters on every run now and I don’t know why. I’d love to give these a try, even if they look a bit strange!
