First, 11 random things about me:
- My favorite, I mean least hated household chore is laundry. I feel especially accomplished when I wash a boatload of workout wear.
- Things are finally taking off in our community garden and I’m having a Squashapalooza: roasted pattypan squash to die for the other day, zucchini bread last night, the adventure continues!
- School starts in less than 2 weeks! For the first time, both kids will go all day. Oh the possibilities.
- The school supply dept. at Tarjay was a battle royal yesterday.
- I read a newspaper (in paper form) everyday and get all grumpy if it’s not delivered by 5:30am. AARP here I come.
- While I adore winter and winter running, my idea of the perfect vacation is something beachy and Carribbean.
- My first job was selling popcorn at a movie theater.
- I worked/scholarshipped my way through college/grad school.
- My most fun job was being a hair model. See #8. Having people pamper and swoon over my hair was kind of nice.
- My first car was a 1969 Chevy Camaro. I thought it was an old piece of junk but wow it was a guy magnet. Horrible in the snow though…
- I ran my first ever 5k with my sister in 2000, then didn’t race again for 5 years.

- What is your favorite brand of workout clothes? I’ll go with Nike.
- What is your favorite time of day? Sunrise.
- What is one store you could max out your credit card in? Probably nowhere because I’m too much of a cheapskate to ever do that. But on the off chance I had too many Kombuchas I suppose I could max it out pretty easily at Athleta.
- What is your dream job? Olympic reporter on the Today Show
- Would you rather vacation in Alaska or Bermuda? I’ve never been to Alaska (going next summer though) so I’ll pick Bermuda.
- What is your favorite game? Peggle
- Mac or PC? PC
- Would you rather text, talk, or email? Text, but never while driving of course.
- What are three adjectives you would use to describe yourself? Optimistic, Strong, Silly.
- Which is better, peanut butter or almond butter? Almond butter.
- Would you rather live on a lake or on an ocean? Ocean.

Hair model would be pretty great. I don’t mind laundry…any job where you spend most of the time waiting for a machine to do the work isn’t so bad. 🙂

Amen to #1! Since I am a teacher, and currently on break, most of my laundry consists of workout gear, and that makes me happy:)
I’m looking forward to when all 4 go to school all day…but I still have a couple years to wait – I should say a couple more years to enjoy:)

AK! If you have any time in Seattle before/after your AK trip, I’m happy to recommend fun things to do in town or host a run. Or maybe you’re not laying over here?
I used to get the paper delivered to my apartment complex and people would always steal it- I’d get SO MAD!!!!
