Speedloss Detox Day 2

November 29, 2012

Day 2 of the Speedloss Food and Juice Cleanse seemed to be a little easier than the first. While I had 6 different foods/supplements on Day 1, there were only 3 on Day 2. Here’s how it went:

Again the toughest part of the day was late afternoon, and during dinner when I was preparing food for the family but not eating. I also feel like I did not drink enough water through the program.

Results?

  • In 2 days I am down 3.8 lbs.
  • My waist is 1/2″ smaller

Final Words: I feel like this was a nice ‘reset’ for me. I felt like the juice/tea/soup/shake, etc. were nutrient dense and ‘clean’ and the timing between each was perfect.

  • I never felt light headed or tired.
  • The only time I felt truly hungry was at night on Day 2.
  • For maximum results, the plan recommends that you do a cardio workout 60 minutes in the morning and an additional 60 minutes in the evening. I only did the morning workout.
  • I liked that the plan spelled out exactly what to eat and when. This is where I fall short when I’m on my own.
  • Equally important to giving my system a reset, for me this plan made me more aware of my mindless, habitual eating patterns and food triggers.
  • The Speedloss plan continues with optional days 3-10. While there are no more supplements or food prescribed, light meals, salads and fruit are recommended, along with the remaining Sedona Detox juice and 60 minutes of cardio. I will ease back into eating ‘regular’ food today and see how that goes.

Overall it was challenging for me to go against my natural (not always great) eating habits but I’m glad I did it. I think it’s a great jump start for someone looking to lose weight and/or change their eating habits.

*I received this product free of charge, however I was not compensated for this trial and my opinions are my own.

I think in general that is a really great point about the HABIT of eating! I know that sometimes that is what leads me to eat rather than hunger. Still not sure I could go through the no food day, I’m bad at fasting

It’s so great to “See” you!! My biggest fear with a cleanse would be the overwhelming hunger or feeling shaky, so glad to hear that didn’t happen. Nice job making it through giving the kids snacks and dinner. I think that would be tough, just noshing out of habit.

Awesome results! I have a friend who’s a big fan of intermittent fasting, and while I’m RARELY one to go without food for more than a few hours, being sick over the past couple weeks has resulted in some unplanned intermittent fasting…with great results. Not sure I’d CHOOSE to do it very often, but like you said, it seemed like a good reset to my system. Plus, you know, it’s hard to beat trying it for free. πŸ™‚

    I’ve always wanted to try a detox, but I’m such a wimp, I know I wouldn’t last a day πŸ™‚

I’m curious as to whether you think it was worth the cost? I know you didn’t pay for it personally, but do you think it was worth the $199 they charge? These cleanses all seem to be remarkably expensive to me (but I admit, I am a cheapskate).

3.8 pounds is pretty significant. It sounds like it’s well worthwhile if you need a bit of a kickstart to losing weight. I like that you didn’t really feel hungry or weak or lightheaded.

Great to hear that you were successful: 3.8 pounds in two days is a good result … considering you didn’t feel tired: what a great motivation!

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment … I’ll try to send you some of the European rain πŸ™‚ Have a nice weekend!

So, are you done with it now or do you have more days? I’m not sure how many days of that I could take. I’ve never tried any sort of cleanse or detox and not sure if I want to or not. Always interesting to hear what other people think about the different plans.

So glad this was such a success. I am blown away that you didn’t feel tired or lightheaded – I suppose I just assumed that this was always the case with cleanses! It definitely has caused me to consider one!

i am way impressed. i don’t think i would be β€œfull” enough to not really eat. never tried a detox. i just love food way too much. which is probably my problem. but, i guess if it was a trial, i would try it and see-not sure i would spend $$ on it.

It’s always good to reset our mindless eating and start with a clean slate. It takes serious will power to last through any kind of cleanse or juice fast, nice work!

2 days isn’t bad. the ones i’ve seen are all 5-7-or more days! yikes. but 2, i could maybe stick that out πŸ™‚ those are some great results!

Glad to hear this went pretty well for you! I agree with Lindsay, I could handle 2 days but 5-7 would be rough.

Gee, all these raves! Was the coupon deal I purchased through living social something completely different? It seemed forever to arrive, not sure why they tell you it takes so long to “create” your own 2 day cleanse. I did everything down to the T in the instructions, including my usually 1 – 1.5 fast walk on the beach each morning, exercising in the pool for 2 one hour sessions, then a walk in the evening. I’m a big water drinker anyways so 8 bottles a day is the norm. I am over weight wanting to drop about 40 lbs. Not on any meds. no issues with being on a diet before, not a bit hunger or tired. I was surprised not to be in the bathroom at least a couple of times for “cleansing”, of course with that much water it does go through you. In the end for me it was a big waste of $90. Doing a lemon water cleanse would of been just as easy along with a lot less expensive. NEVER would I have paid the full price through the company. Chalk this one purchase from sites like living social or groupon as lesson learned. Falls under the known statement – “if it sounds too good to be true.. it usually is!” Hope you will post the negatives not just your praises.

Thanks for documenting each step, great point about diet plans that lay out exactly what you need to do and when to do it.

    How was your sleep?

Brady I’m typically a very sound sleeper and that did not change during or after the fast. It seemed to have no affect.
