Stuff I Love: November Edition

November 16, 2012

Shower Pill: You all know I’ve been going to hot vinyasa flow (or as I like to say ‘sweat your nuts off, or SYNO ) yoga for a couple of weeks now. I was beginning to think when I survived the 3rd class that things were looking up and SYNO was no longer impossible.  Alas today my booty was kicked once again. Having grunting dudes on 3 sides (what are the odds?) did nothing to enhance the ohm factor either. It’s such a sweat fest. That’s a good thing, except that I need to get to the ice rink quickly after, leaving no time to shower. Enter the Shower Pill.

Shower Pill is a moist, washcloth-size, disposable body wipe designed for athletes but perfect for everyone from busy professionals to weekend warriors. I brought a whole mess of them to class today and was instantly the most popular yogi in the room!

  • Contains aloe vera and Vitamin E
  • Kills 99.9% of all germs
  • Dries quickly with no sticky residue
  • Alcohol- and Paraben-free

I can’t help but think ahead to next summer after sweltering hot trail runs how good one of these will feel, especially out of the cooler! Shower Pill is available at Amazon and sells for $9.99/box.

Black Friday Special! Buy two (2), get one (1) FREE!
Just is place three (3) boxes of ShowerPill in your shopping cart and enter code: SPFRIDAY to receive the 3rd box free.  This offer is valid from 11/23-11/25 (Friday-Sunday).
1st Step Wellness Liquid B12 Complex: I was highly skeptical when I agreed to try this out. I feared I’d be a jittery mess. I was pleasantly surprised. This is not a caffeine shot. It’s a B12 supplement in easily-absorbed liquid form.

  • Helps convert food into energy
  • Stimulant and caffeine free
  • Contains no gluten, lactose, sodium, or trans fats

I tried a 6-day supply. By the second day I noticed in the afternoon, usually my witching hour when I either want to raid the pantry or take a nap, I felt like I wanted to work out, even though I had already worked out that morning. I felt that fresh and energetic. I tried Tropical Blend and Cherry Charge: both were pleasant tasting. Not medicinal at all. Be sure to enter the Pro Wellness Great Taste Challenge for a chance to win a year’s supply! And because the Pro Wellness peeps are extra nice, here’s a coupon as well! Find this product at your local Walgreens.

Ruby Red Chai Tea: My new nutrition guru has me off of caffeine. I’ve traded my daily cup of joe for tea. So far it’s all good. As long as I have a hot mug of something I am happy…kind of… I think I may treat myself to coffee once a week. Anyway this ruby red concoction from Trader Joe’s is nicely spiced and naturally caffeine free. I dig it.

What are you loving this month? Are you travelling for Thanksgiving?

I always love these posts – seeing stuff that just isn’t available over here. It’s always so fascinating.

    Love ShowerPill! It’s great!

I think I would like that tea. I like coffee and tea so it is always good to mix it up.

We are traveling for Thanksgiving, we go to my grandmother’s in Massachusetts.

I have a shower pill sample that I have yet to use, but now I feel like I should find an excuse to use it!

I just stocked up my tea cupboard a couple of days ago.. must be that time of year! Some of my favorite holiday blends are back so very happy about that. Love different chais, too.

Sign me up for the shower pill!!!! I have been loving vitamin C pills! I don’t like oj, and am too lazy to peel fruit, so these have been a welcome addition to my arsenal : )

The wipes are a good idea. I help a box of baby wipes in my tri bag now for a quick wipe down after a race where I have a long drive home.

Shower pills are awesome! I should get a stash and just use them instead of real baths for my toddlers. They don’t get that dirty anyway.:)
