March Rewind

March 31, 2014

beach1

I am back from a spring break trip that was definitely “interesting”. One that required making lemonade (and granita and sorbet) out of lemons if you will….but those stories are for another day. I’ve got bags to unpack, laundry to deal with, mail to sort, you know the drill. So for now here are some brief March stats:

Miles: 105. Can I get a boom shaka laka?

Missed workouts: 2. Blech. I loathe missing workouts. Especially 6x800m. It is what it is though.

Heavy lifting sessions. 3. Slacked here. Probably because I was obsessed with hitting that 100 mile mark.

Swims: 3 not counting spring break horsing around in the pool/ocean.

Races: Nada. Just my 5 by the 5th virtual.

Big accomplishment: Passed the RRCA Coaching Exam.

Great job on your mileage! I have big hopes for April. I will tolerate the rain and cold today, but starting tomorrow- there had better be sunshine and warmer temps!

Great job on the mileage – it is hard to keep up the strength training when you bump the mileage – I’ve been struggling with the same thing this month.
Can’t wait to hear about the trip – I hope it was fun – sounds like it wasn’t completely what you were hoping for:(

You’ve whet my appetite with your ‘lemonade out of lemons’ statement. We’re all going to want to know what happened.

Woo hoo on hitting the 100 mile mark! And I’ve been known to skip some speed sessions, too. Blech.

Hope you have a quick transition back to “real life” after your holiday! And congrats on the certification!

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
