Hump Day Randoms and a Winner

June 11, 2014

Ice Shows. Ice show weekend is in the books for another year. They were exhausting and spectacular at the same time. The girls did amazing. Thing 1 is at the age where she’s learning to manage her nerves while Thing 2 is still quite unaffected by the whole thing. Now on to competition this weekend. Even more nerve-wracking in my opinion, but I’m not the one competing, thankfully!

Jost Running. As usual, the June medals do not disappoint. In fact they blew my mind when I opened them up. Humongous, heavy, sparkly and very creative. Since Father’s Day is on the horizon, this month I’m doing something with my dad. He had knee replacement surgery and needs to keep moving. Granted it won’t be running, but that’s the beauty of Jost Running. You move how you can, when you can. So we’re walking. Sometimes a quarter mile, some days a half. We’re hoping to get up to a full mile by month’s end. Join us by registering here. 15% of your entry fee goes to charity. This month that charity is the Young Arts Foundation. In July it’s Girls on the Run.
Starting now until Sept 1, when you post running running/walking selfies on Instagram and Twitter, include hashtag #jostselfie and my twitter handle @teamarcia and there could be prizes for you!

Hit and Run Race Giveaway Winner of two free entries is Kristi L. Please contact me with your race location choice and I’ll get you hooked up with your prize. Thanks to all who entered and to Hit and Run for sponsoring! There’s still time to enter this giveaway.

Are you out of school yet? Today is day ONE of summer break here! Have you tried a Jost Virtual Race?

I guess being on maternity leave kind of counts for summer vacation for me. So, yes, I am out of school 🙂

Congrats to all you skating ladies! I’m sure it’s a huge relief when it’s all over.

Love that you are doing this with your dad. I’m sure he loves it, too.

We go until June 20, so getting close to countdown time!

We are on week 2 of summer vaca. My boys have had a little too much freedom. Thankfully, my youngest has football camp every day and my oldest starts his new job today.

I hope your dad recovers quickly. My dad had knee replacement surgery a few years ago (at Rush, thankfully) and did surprisingly well.

congrats to the girls! i haven’t tried a jost race..i suck at remembering to do/post about virtual races so I quit doing them.
