Loving/Not Loving and a Winner

June 23, 2014

Loving: That last week’s single parenting stint is over. I loved the quality time with Thing 2 but not getting out to run or bike or to the gym kind of sucked.

Not Loving: Keeping these kiddos off the ‘puter. Especially when the weather’s crummy.

tights

Loving: New tights I bought with the Dick’s GC I got for an AG win at a local 5k.

Not Loving: The kids smirked and jeered when I put them on. What do they know?

Loving: Summer!

storm tree

Not Loving: The storm that sent us huddling in the basement. Oh and mosquitoes

Loving: It’s birthday season here! Thing 1 becomes a teenager this week.

Not Loving: I’m not sure I’m ready for the proper care and feeding of a teenager.

Loving: The Bachelorette tonight!

Not Loving: The season so far has been pretty bland.

What are you loving? Not so much? Any tips for handling a teenager?

Purina Light & Healthy Dog Chow Winner: Alas our first winner has not come forward. Soooo according to the random number generator: The new winner is Mindy Artze! Mindy please contact me with your shipping address and your prize will be on it’s way.

I love the tights! I just spent my lunch hour at Dick’s but left empty handed ๐Ÿ™ I shouldn’t whine, though – it was far more enjoyable than when I stopped in with the toddler. GAH!

Love: The perfect rain/sun combo lately that has my tomato plants looking fierce.

    Not loving: MOSQUITOES

I think the tights are cute. Guess that’s the difference between an ‘adult’ option and a ‘kid’ opinion.

Not to scare you, but the teenage years were the worse years of my life – from a parental perspective. Good news is that you’ll survive. And they turn into really need people when they outgrow the teenage stuff. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh what do kids know – I think your tights are cute!

Loving that school’s finally ending for my youngest son this week! Not loving my cranky hip ๐Ÿ™

Loving the froyo place just around the corner from me (right next to the Portage Theater!).

Love the tights… Ya know, we don’t have mosquitoes here… honestly I haven’t seen one for 12 years!

I have teens but since they are boys I don’t really have any advice!
    I love your new tights!
And, I agree – The Bachelorette has been sort of blah. Did you watch her (Andi) last season on The Bachelor? I’m almost completely sure that she is the one who didn’t feel it was appropriate to wear a bikini. Now she wears them a lot – sort of makes me laugh.

Summer hasn’t been so great so far! Tired of the rain, the humidity, and the mosquitos! On the other hand…it sure beats the cold!

I am loving a new purse I got.
Not loving the long summer school hours.

I don’t think anyone is ever ready for a teenager. If they call it terrible two’s then when they are older it should be called sensitive seventeen. And that goes double for the boys.

Totally love the tights. May have to wonder down to Dick’s during lunch.

Kids can be so honestly cruel with their opinions. Don’t listen to them. The tights are really cute!

My boys don’t have access to the computer yet because they are still too young, but they do love to play games on their 3DS.

Love those tights! I was in Dick’s over the weekend looking for shoes and wandered into the clothing (of course). I mean you “have” to see if there are any good deals right? Uhh $51 for a “clearance” long sleeve workout shirt? No thanks! I’ll have to wait til I get a gift card too ๐Ÿ™‚

Finally remembered to get a pic of the weightlifting chart I use. I hope it’s not too late to implement in your training! (I’m embarrassingly low on data so I can’t get on FB to msg it to you lol)

Reps @ Percentage of Max (round up/down as needed)
    3@58%, 5@73%, 5@80%, 3@85%, 2@90%, 1@95%, 2@88%, 3@83%, 5@78%, 10@70%

I did this twice a week when I was gearing up for the “Pump and Run”, so it’s not too much if you have the time. Or you can do the whole scheme once a week and make up your own rep scheme on other days using the same #s (ie: 5 sets of 5 reps at 70%). Good luck!

We’ve had a pretty mellow time since Tazer became a teenager, so I’m still waiting for trouble…

Bah! Kids know nothing about fashion! I love those tights–you rock them!

I am loving the end of single parenting, too. And summer–freedom from the school routine feels so good right now.

Love the tights! I got sucked into this season of the Bachelorette and while it hasn’t been great it hasn’t been filled with crazy drama so I’m happy.

Quick, start homeschooling Thing 1 and don’t let her emerge out into the world until she’s 20. That, or put her in a coma until then and then wake her up.

    ๐Ÿ™‚

The tights are super cute!!! I need to hit up Dicks…I have a coupon :).

Those tights are great, the brighter the better I say! I am loving summer too, but the storms need to stop! And I’m not loving that I’m back at work for a month.
