September is a quick month and this one flew by. Before we welcome October, in all its creepy-crawly, spooky glory, let’s open up the Runfessional.
I get a monthly Google Search console report that shows the blog posts that are getting the most hits. I runfess I often don’t even remember writing them. Recently I found one SO intriguing, but (surprise!) I had absolutely zero recollection of ever having written it. I decided to go see it. It was this one about internet Creepers. Now I remember. Vaguely. Haha!
Now that it has cooled off a tad, the temptation to run is stronger than ever. I runfess I’ve been doing some…I’ll call them walks with run intervals. I runfess I actually did my first WWRI back on August 31, so I’ve been secretly picking up the pace (for a mile or 2) for a whole month now. The other day I completed 4 miles of WWRI and sadly, my bionic hip was a little testy the next morning. Nothing terrible, but let’s just say she let me know 4 miles of WWRI was too much right now. Sigh.
I runfess I am officially old, now. How do I know? Because I’ve downloaded a bird app on my phone. Basically I consult it when I hear birds singing. It listens, then tells me what birds it hears. It’s pretty cool…at least to this old lady it is.
Okay your turn: What have you to runfess? What “old person” things do you do?

Ha ha, I have not fallen into the bird fascination (yet), but a lot of my friends have. I bet it’s relaxing to hear the birds and fun becoming familiar with the different “songs” and the performers. You are making great progress with the bionic hip! Even if those four miles were a bit much, you’ve taken great caution in forcing things too quickly.
