September Stuff I Love

September 25, 2014

skoopA

Skoop A Game: This is basically a bag packed with super power. A stands for Awesome in my opinion. Each 50-calorie scoop of Skoop contains super veggies, green grasses, superfruits, omega 3’s, probiotics, adaptogens and antioxidants. Being in the thick of marathon training, I’ll take all the nutrients I can get. I mix Skoop A with water and drink it straight up, add it to protein smoothies for workout  recovery, even stealth it into the kids pancakes and waffles. I love this stuff!

lace locker

Lace Locker: Like most runners, I’ve gotten by (mostly) by double knotting my shoelaces, tucking them in under the rest of the laces and hoping for the best…which doesn’t always happen. Lace Lockers put an end to loose lace problems. Basically they tuck in and fold over your laces, keeping them tight and secure with the magic of velcro. Simple genious. They’re already installed on my marathon shoes.

septpopsugar

PopSugar Must Have Box. All kinds of goodness in the September Box. With the holidays just around the corner, this makes a fun gift idea. Let’s take a look, shall we? You may know that ombre is hot this season. Not sure how I know that, but I do. I’ve already worn the Tilo Scarf  twice. Love the rich raisin color into grey. One can never have too many earbuds. I haven’t tried these Nicole Miller Earbuds yet, but I will.  Since the Urban Remedy Almond Brownie is organic, raw, vegan, gluten-free and made from just 6 ingredients, I didn’t think it would mess with my 21-day reset too much. I took just a nibble so I could report back to you. Kids this brownie was dense, nutty and truly delicious. Way moreso than I expected. I am all over this one. There’s also a gift card for $10 off your purchase. Oribe Superfine Hairspray. I was beginning to think I was the last person on earth who used hairspray. Apparently not. Thing 2 made off with these Letter C Design Gold Foil Arrow Pencils before I could so much as touch them. The art of written correspondence will never go out of style with gorgeous notecards like these from Rifle Paper Co. around. Save on your Nike favorites with a $20 Nike Gift Card.  I haven’t dug into these Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Sea Salt and Almond Minis yet, but holy sea salt they look amazing. Through 9/30, save $10 off a 3-month subscription with code SEPT14SELECT.

Have you tried any of these? What are you loving this month?

Note: These items were sent to me free of charge for review purposes. As always, all opinions are my own.

Yep! I am loving skoop too! It also goes well in snacks and baked goods with a little less flour to make sure it isn’t dry. I am really tempted by these pop sugar boxes, they look like a lot of fun. Need to save my money for the time being, but its such a good idea!

Oo i should check out lock laces.

I’m loving my athleta skirt this month! Love how comfy it is and I can sweat in the black without weird sweat lines haha.

My kids stole the pencils too, and the majority of the Ghiardelli! I’ve never heard of Skoop before..sounds pretty good. Love packing a ton of nutrients into a single serving.

Lace lockers! I’ve been talking about getting something similar for ages and not following through. My one complaint about my Cascadias is that those laces WILL NOT stay tied!

The Skoop sounds awesome! I love how you are sneaking it into your kids’ pancakes and waffles for added health benefits. =) I am guessing that it is sweet or has a mild flavor, at least?

I’m one of the fortunate ones who has never had much issue with shoelaces coming untied, but the Lace Locker sounds ingenius! And it looks very “clean,” too, as opposed to some clunkier lace holders. Love how it matches your shoes!

Sue from This Mama Runs for cupcakes also uses Skoop. I think “after the marathon” (it’s my mantra and excuse for everything) I may have to try it. I don’t want to do anything new now…

Only 6 ingredients in the brownie?~ That is great! The shoe lack locks are genius! Why in the world didn’t we think of this about 75 years ago?

How did you manage to stop at just a nibble of something that was chocolatey and nutty? You have a willpower of steel.

Your recommendations are always good. I really want that PopSugar box!

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
