Snowy Sunday Trivia

December 20, 2009

I hope all of you who were hammered by snow this weekend are safely digging out! We got only a few inches…made for a festive but slippery 6-miler yesterday and a beautiful 10 this morning.
Look Who I’ll be Chasing in Boston! Meb Keflezighi and Ryan Hall have both signed on to run The Boston Marathon next year.
Woot! Woot!
My Newest Running Partner Thanks to Saundra at Fitness for Foodies, I scored this sweet Nathan Quick-Draw handheld. I took it out for a spin on today’s 10 miler. After fighting the inclination to slip my hand all the way through the strap to make it more of a ‘wrist corsage’ (dork) I quickly got used to it and really enjoyed it. Plus there’s a great zipper pocket that can hold keys, fuel, pepper spray, whatever you like. Thanks again Saundra!

And finally, the Hundred Pushup Challenge Revisited: For full effect, please cue up Aaron Copeland’s Fanfare for the Common Man…go ahead, I’ll wait.
Ok ready?
After a disappointing attempt at that elusive 100, I repeated week 6.
I Made 100 Pushups My Biotch!
Wonders truly never cease!
Have an amazing week!

    Way to go!!!!

I really need to get a fuel belt or a handheld for when I start my half marathon training, there are no water stops on my trail and I know I'll need to drink.

That handheld looks great, I've wondered if it gets heavy after a while, but I think I'm going to have to buy myself one for Christmas!

    Hi Teamarcia,
New to your site. Thanks for stopping by mine. Enjoyed your article. Glad your water bottle worked out. When I was in High school we had a push up challenge. It was fun. What is cool is that all of the smaller guys whipped the bigger guys's @$$es. Great Job on that, and cool site.

Yay! Way to go on the 100! That is a huge accomplishment.

I would like to try a running bottle like that. The water belts always make my stomach hurt!

You are my idol, 100 push-ups; I hope I can report the same thing in 6 weeks.

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
