As if on cue, the battery in the Polar Watch Modern Caveman got me last year for my birthday has died…could it really be that time again? Already? And wasn’t it just a couple of years ago I was turning 30? Can I possibly be having yet another birthday? So soon? Time flies. Too fast. Way. Too. Fast.
I had a whole ‘running year in review’ post planned for today but decided to save that for another day. Who wants to read something heavy and at times less than stellar when there’s a birthday to celebrate?
The day started with the first of many special gifts: an elusive ‘lighter than air’ 6-mile dash through the snow that felt effortless and was uncharacteristically fast for this old girl.
My hair, which has a mind of its own most days, decided to lavish me with a good hair day!
I spent the day hanging out with my mom. I figured it was she and I who were hanging out together at the beginning of time, so why not continue that tradition?
And, unlike me, the day is still YOUNG! Enjoy it!
