I've always been intrigued by the the kettlebell workouts! Awesome!

I keep my core strong by doing balance work on a rocker board, using bands for strength training, and laying/sitting on a ball instead of bench whenever possible while lifting weights.

  26. Marlene says

    March 4, 2010 at 3:20 pm

This is the best giveaway EVER! I have always wanted to try Kettlebell but don't really know where to start. PICK ME, PICK ME!

I have to confess, I'm pretty lazy with my Core. Though I am trying to get better! One thing someone suggested is to do things while standing on one leg – dishes, brushing teeth, ironing, etc. It strengthens the ankles and works your core (balance).

  27. Catey says

    March 4, 2010 at 3:20 pm

I rely on pilates and yoga. And I've recently started Zumba which is a heck of a lot more ab work than I thought. Its great!

I always do 100 sit ups after any work out whether it is a class or a long run. I think it helps all areas of my abs and my body knows what it feels like since I do them lots and lots!

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
