Up and Running!

March 6, 2010

I am elated to report that I am off the injured reserve and back on the roads! WOOT!
Shhhh don’t tell my sports doc, Dr Miracle Worker himself, but I jumped the gun just a smidge and slipped in 3 easy miles on the mill Wednesday. Totally pain free, oh yeah!

It was beyond gorgeous when I got out this morning to 25 mild degrees and birdsong. I ran 10.25 miles! Yes the pace was easy and yes I followed Dr. Miracle Worker’s instruction to take walk breaks (nowhere near as many or as long as he said to do but hey) but it was wonderful and PAINFREE!!!!
To celebrate I cracked out my latest, greatest new running skirt: this hot number is from Lululemon. I love the pleats in the back and the comfy compression shorts underneath. Although I’ll never go wrong in stealthy black, this baby needs to be recreated in some fun colors!
Here’s to a great weekend!
Go Racers!

You are just sooo cute in that outfit! I need a skirt with pleats, I think it'd help hide large parts! But more than anything, I am stoked you are back and back with a vengance. 10.25 miles with your first run back? Well, aside from a sneaky 3 miler, that is totally great!!!!!! So happy for you!
