Energy Bits Review

September 17, 2013

Energy Bits Review

energybits
Recently I was sent this cute little tin of Energy Bits: Tiny green algae bits, grown organically in fresh water tanks. In case you didn’t know, algae is a superfood.
According to Energy Bits, when algae is taken in the morning, throughout the day when you are tired, or before a workout, it improves your energy, increases stamina, clears your mind and eliminates fatigue and hunger.
One serving is 30 of these little suckers. I threw them down with water (they taste very ‘green’), but they can also be whipped up in shakes, yogurt, or just chewed up (I wasn’t that brave).
So what did I notice? I definitely felt a lift in energy. Not a crazy, jittery one, but I felt more mental clarity.
Energy Bits:

  • Contain no caffeine, chemicals, sugar, preservatives, gluten, soy, or animal products.
  • They are 100% non-GMO and kosher
  • Contain 40 vitamins and minerals
  • 64% protein

A nutritional powerhouse, if you ask me.

I like these and I think they have good nutritional profile, too! I feel like they can’t hurt and I do think they keep you full (I imagine the Algae spreading in my stomach!) They are expensive though! I have a 25% off code: EricaFinds. ๐Ÿ™‚

I can’t wait to try these! I use a few other ‘green’ supplements but I think these babies might replace them!! I’ve been reading up on the Algae and think it might be what I need/want!!

I’m still working on eating “better” healthier food, my problem (I’m sure and hopeful others agree) I don’t like anything healthy LOL! And I need help with energy:)

I love chlorella tablets for recovery and spirulina in my green smoothies!

I tried those and had a hard time getting them down. I think if I try them again I will have to blend them in a smoothie. I definitely believe in the health benefits of green algae.

Favorite superfood is hot, black, coffee! I drink it before every run and workout. It’s an amazing boost!

Wow I’m not sure I could eat algae pills! Blending them in to a smoothie might be the best option. Pretty neat idea for an energy boost though! I like it!

Just to think that we used to grow this super-food in our fish tank years ago without even trying. If only I’d thought to eat it back then.

Love these things… a smoothie is a great idea! I chewed mine. And then had to keep brushing my teeth to get the bits out and down! Next time, swallow. Would love more. Algae is awesome.
