It’s Christmas and the Gang is All Here

December 24, 2023

It’s Christmas and the gang is all here. I won’t lie, life has been pure chaos these past few weeks (hell hath no fury like Lululemon at Christmas) but it’s been sparkly and fun too. Here’s how the week in workouts went:

Sunday: Walk 4 miles, Birthday Trail Run 6 miles
Monday: Walk 4 miles, Strength + Sauna
Tuesday: Walk 4 miles, rest
Wednesday: Walk 4 miles, Trail Run 5 miles, Thing1 arrived!
Thursday: Walk 4 miles Strength, Core, Sauna
Friday: Walk 4 miles, rest
Saturday: Walk 4 miles, Trail Run 4 miles, work party

All season long I’ve been getting fitness in wherever I can. It’s very much on the back burner right now, but it’s still happening, in one form or another…kind of. No snow to be seen here!

It’s Christmas and the Gang is All Here

We kicked off Christmas weekend with a Georgia Tech Bowl party. They haven’t been invited to a bowl since 2018 so this was definitely cause for celebration. After a rough first quarter, the Yellow Jackets managed to turn it around and WIN! So much fun!

Thankfully I’m finally feeling completely better, and I’d planned to host a large group on Christmas Eve. Sadly one and then two families tested positive for Covid, so our group of 20 was pared down to 13. Tis the season.

Life is always better when I’ve got my chicks at my side!

We also got out for a belated birthday celebration. I wanted to wait until Thing 1 arrived and I’m glad I did. I actually considered cancelling the outing because I was so wiped out, but I’m glad I didn’t. It was so much fun!

I’m so glad you are feeling better! I’m masking and washing my hands at work like it’s a second job. I don’t want to catch any of the yuck that is going around.

Isn’t it great to have everyone home? I’m looking forward to having everyone here tomorrow! Merry Christmas Marcia! Let’s make a resolution to get together after the holidays!

Merry Christmas, Marcia! Glad you are back to 100%, even if still under water at work. My sister works retail (I did way back in the day). it’s intense!

I’m glad you are feeling better just in the nick of time. My husband had covid last week. Knock-on-wood I seem to have escaped it.

I hope you get a break from work and can really enjoy having your daughters home!

Glad you are feeling better to enjoy the holidays. There is a lot of sickness going on.

    Merry Christmas!

Yay! I’m glad you’re feeling better and have your kids home- yes, everything is better when they’re with us. It seems like EVERYONE is getting sick- my sister’s Christmas gathering was canceled because several family members have Covid. I hope your group of 13 manage to stay healthy, and that you enjoy the day. Oh, and I can only imagine how crazy Lululemon is at Christmas time!!! Have a wonderful holiday.

Glad you’re feeling better! I was at a huge wedding last weekend, and several peeps came down with the flu a day or so later (including the 91-yr old grandma #SoNotGood). UGH! We’re all keeping the fingers crossed this passes. Enjoy your time with the girls and your family (those who are able to attend, that is). I’m looking forward to some family time tonight and tomorrow as well.

Enjoy the break, Marcia! And enjoy your two girls and the family.
You did a great job at getting your fitness sessions this month, it’s been so hectic!

I hope that the Lululemon frenzy is over for a bit now so that you have some time to breathe.

:shakes fist at Covid: the worst.

I’m glad you are having a lovely holiday! That’s what matters most!
