It’s July and, as you read this, we are off on vacation, somewhere on the European Continent. I’ll share all the details when I return or maybe, just maybe you can find some highlights over on Instagram. No guarantees though. My focus this summer has been to stay present and savor each day, and that’s meant staying away from social media for the most part. Today though, I’m sitting down with Coco, Deborah and you for a little catch-up session over coffee.
July Coffee Date
Over coffee I’d ask about your July 4th plans. I recently learned that July 2nd was the halfway point of the year so we are officially in the latter half already. It sure does fly by. I’ve been pretty good with the goals I set back in January:
Daily pushups (these have made me stronger overall, and especially on the bench press)
Daily salads
Eating more greens in general
Daily Balance and Mobility exercises
Weekly journaling
Our daily walks are back too, but I have to confess, I haven’t yet come up with any goals to add for the remainder of the year. Once we’re back from vacay, hopefully I’ll have some clarity on where I want to focus.
I do have to tell you about Gruns though. They’re an adult, superfood, gummy multi-vitamin that contains super greens, prebiotics, adaptogens and more. As a blogger, I get invited to try all sorts of supplements, and to be honest I take a pass on most of them. I’m very glad I tried these because they are amazing. Not only do they taste great (I tried the sugar-free ones), I really noticed a difference after just a few days. More energy, mental clarity (no more brain fog) and to be blunt, HOLY POOP Batman! In the best way. No more bloated lethargy. I’ve already purchased a second bag to take on vacay. Check them out here and try them for yourself.
Over coffee I’d give you a little garden update. When we left, our patio veggies were doing well and I’ve had a few hummingbird sightings, which I love. I also spotted a trio of swans in the pond. Where they came from is anybody’s guess but they sure are beautiful, and really giant when they’re up close!
Over coffee I’d give you a pupdate. Romeo and Monty are doing so great and are getting along like bros should. Romeo just celebrated his 6 month birthday and Monty is 3 months old, clocking in at a whopping 3.5lbs. They are lots of crazy, chaotic fun and I miss them already!
What would you tell me over coffee? Have you set goals for the second half of the year?
Any fun summer travels?
I love how intentional your summer sounds, Marcia! Staying present, unplugging from socials, and really soaking it all in. That’s true vacation magic.
And yes to push-ups! So simple, so effective… and still so tough. Your consistency with all your goals is seriously inspiring – you’re a great example of what steady daily habits can really do!
Hope you are having a fabulous trip! Perhaps I will run into you in Europe! Wouldn’t that be fun!
Staying present sounds so nice! I do need to spend more time on my house–it feels so neglected! Have a wonderful trip! Who is watching the pups?
Crazy chaotic fun is the best
Enjoy your time away!
