Summertime Favorites

June 22, 2016

Ahhhh. Sweet summertime how I’ve missed your long, sunny days and warm temps. School’s out, my tri is over, marathon training is fast approaching and the living is easy. What better time to share some of my summertime favorites: Easy dresses. Although I started my career (back in the stone-age) in the fashion industry working [Read More]

Weird Things Spotted on the Run

June 20, 2016

Weird stuff. That’s what we’re talking about this week on the Tuesdays on the Run Linkup. This time it’s odd things you see or that happen at races or when you’re out running. There’s plenty of weird to go around, isn’t there? There are all sorts of odd costumes seen at races. A certain Eiffel [Read More]

Espirit de She Triathlon Race Report

June 15, 2016

This was my second time doing the Espirit de She sprint triathlon. Read last year’s adventure here. I am an Espirit de She Race Series Ambassador and Founding Finisher since 2013. After a steamy 100-degree the day before, tri day dawned cooler and clear, albeit on the windy side. I was up and restless 30 [Read More]

Found Along the Road

June 13, 2016

This week on Tuesdays on the Run we’re talking about the road. Maybe the roadside where you run, maybe in the actual road. Monday: Open water swim (didn’t happen) Tuesday: Run 5 miles Wednesday: Evolution Cycle + Strength Thursday: Run [Read More]

5 Ways to Celebrate a Running Milestone

June 10, 2016

Running and milestones kind of go hand-in-hand. Running is hard. Training takes discipline and sacrifice. So when we run a new distance, or stick with a training plan for months, finish a challenging race or PR, we need to celebrate, right? 2017 will be the 10th anniversary of my first half and full marathons. Kind [Read More]

A Hoarder. Of the Highest Order.

June 6, 2016

This week’s Tuesdays on the Run topic is race gear. We all love it, right? Are you a hoarder with a stash that requires its own zip code? Or are you a minimalist? Like many, I do love me some running gear. Ok lots of it. Brands? I’ve got a fave….or 6…or 12. First I [Read More]

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
