Watch Out 2016, I’ve Got Goals

December 30, 2015

I’ve never been a resolutioner. In fact I’m kind of a crappy goal setter. This is the closest post I could find that remotely discussed plans for 2015. My mileage tracking is ponderous at best. I may log it, I may not. I’ve never set a yearly mileage goal because I know whatever I run, it’ll be [Read More]

The Year in Race Medals

December 28, 2015

The final week of the year! This week on Tuesdays on the Run we’re reflecting on our races and the bling we remember them by. Who doesn’t love fabulous race medals? I know I do. So without further babbling I present to you my year in race medals. Left to right: AG1 Turkey Trot 4 [Read More]

A Marco Island Christmas

December 28, 2015

I’d tell you how my workout week went like I usually do, but I’m just back from our Florida vacay and not a whole lot of workout tracking was done. The workouts happened, they were just free-form. I ran at least 3x, sometimes on the beach, sometimes not. Sometimes fast, mostly not. I wore my [Read More]

2015 Running Highlights

December 21, 2015

This week’s Tuesdays on the Run topic is this year’s running highlights. It coincides very nicely with Courtney’s Year in Running Linkup so I’m going to borrow her format and linkup with her as well. Best Race Experience: Let’s face it, I did not light the world on fire with my speed this year. Except for [Read More]

It’s our final installment of Runfessions for the year! How’d that happen?? I know you’re all swamped with holiday prep so let’s get to it, shall we? Us runners? We like our shoes. I’m not even going to show you but at this very moment, I have not one, not two, but….ok five pairs of [Read More]

Race Plans for 2016

December 16, 2015

We’re leaving for Florida soon. I should be packing and everything else that goes along with travel. I’ve got laundry going so there’s that. I volunteered for any/all of Thing 2’s class holiday parties and of course I was picked for the winter one. Because I need another thing to deal with right now. I’m [Read More]

My Year in Running

December 11, 2015

Today’s Friday Five topic is Running Wish List. Honestly beyond finishing the marathon majors, my only wishes are to stay healthy, injury free and that everyone could enjoy the endorphins and experiences running brings. Since my racing year is over, I thought I’d recap the year’s top 5 running-related experiences instead. In 2015 I didn’t race [Read More]

Great Holiday Gifts for Him

December 9, 2015

This post is sponsored by Vocalpoint and Dick’s Sporting Goods®. All opinions are my own.  I can’t lie: My Caveman is preposterously difficult to shop for. He’s very particular about…well everything…and won’t hesitate to tell me to take something back if it doesn’t meet his standards. Now that it’s the running “off-season”, I’ve been joining [Read More]

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
