Racing: The Rest of the Year

August 11, 2015

This week’s Tuesday’s on the Run Linkup asks about race schedules.

tuesdays

So far I haven’t done much this year beyond a 10-miler and a few triathlons. That’s all going to change very soon. Here’s how the rest of the year looks:

fort2base

This is my sweaty self after Fort2Base last year. Nice medal, yes?

August 23: Fort2Base Nautical 10 miler. This will be my third time running this. Always hot, but a pretty, shaded course (and one mongo hill) and great post-race swag.

Labor Day weekend: This spot is begging for a half marathon, but I haven’t committed to anything just yet. With so much going on in October, I may just lay low.

October is kind of a Where in the world is Marcia? month with 6 races in 3 different states and one out of the country.

Twin Cities Marathon

October 4: Twin Cities Marathon

October 17: Run 10 Feed 10 10k, Chicago. I’m excited to be an Ambassador for this race for a very worthy cause.

rocknblog logo

October 18: Rock n Roll St. Louis Half

October 24-25: Rock n Roll Vancouver 10k and Half

November 14-15: Rock n Roll Vegas 5k and Half

Remember code Teamarcia saves you $15 off Rock n Roll Races, excluding Vegas.

…last but not least, this one kind of blows my mind. I’ve been invited to run this:

great wall

May 1, 2016: Great Wall Marathon. This one has always rattled around in the back of my mind. For it to become a reality is amazing.

Runners: What’s on your race schedule? Exciting stuff on mine! #rocknblog #running @tcmarathon @runrocknroll

What’s on your race schedule? Do you tend to repeat races or are you a “one and done” type?

I’m Linking up with Erika, Patty and April for Tuesdays on the Run.

You’ve got a busy fall! All I’ve got is the Alpine Half in LZ in September (I still need to sign up) and Chicago in October. Now that I have that spring marathon, I want to keep my legs fresh…

China? I can’t wait to hear about this…

Wow! You are going to CHINA!!!! How exciting for you. I just finished my A race this year, so I’m not booking a lot for the second half. I will be doing the Miami Marathon in January and a 12 hour bike race in February. That should keep me busy … 😉

I am curious to hear more about the Great Wall Marathon! Is it more training to hike, or do people actually run all those stairs? LOL

Wow China! Very cool! I have a full race schedule through next April! Yes, one a month starting in September, except March but I’m sure I’ll find something. Several are repeat races but I’m wanting to do some different ones. Jazz will be different and the RnR Nashville will be new as well. The major race coming up will be the WDW Marathon! Eeeek! We’ll see when it’s all said and done!
