10 More Happy Things

January 27, 2010

Since I was lucky enough to be tagged again, here are 10 more:

1. When I make it through the week without throwing away any produce.

2. A thatch of sage that was the centerpiece at a Bat Mitzvah many moons ago and now resides out on my deck. It survives and thrives through these obnoxiously cold Chi-Town Boonie winters and I snip from it year round. Talk about hardcore!

3. I think I can move up to a 15lb kettle bell. Can you say brute?

4. When I can get the kids showered, pj’d, read to and in bed by 8:30. It’s as rare as seeing the Northern Lights around here, but I’m elated when it happens.

5. An unexpected flower delivery.

6. Thing 1 is done selling Girl Scout cookies for another year. And she got her behind back out there when she realized she was 11 boxes short of her goal. So proud of her!

7. The new rosemary bath salts I scored at Whole Foods. It’s going in the post-long run ice bath this weekend.

8. Really deep, delicious, restorative sleep.

9. It’s staying lighter later!

10. Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar. Yum!

Instead of tagging someone this time around. Please leave me a comment with one thing that makes you happy!
Happy Wednesday!

Great list. I'm truly impressed by that sage plant!

What's made me happy this week: running with my dog and having her behave the whole time. I've had a couple of "odd" situations running in the morning in the dark, but I don't worry when my dog's with me.

I didn't know there was a peanut butter cookie Larabar! NOM!

marciashealthyslice I'm a working mom who, as part of a mid-life challenge, decided to run a marathon for kicks. I didn't plan on it becoming a hobby, but it did. I qualified for Boston at my second marathon and finished the 6 World Marathon Majors in London in 2019. Set no small goals. You never know what you're capable of until you try!
