Wahoo Fitness TICKR X Review

June 3, 2015

To celebrate National Running Day, I’m giving away a running and fitness gadget that I’m super loving right now: The Wahoo Fitness TICKR X.

Wahoo Tickrx giveaway

I told you about the Wahoo Fitness TICKR X before and how cool it is. It’s a heart rate monitor and so much more. Wear the strap up, around your rib cage and it monitors your heart rate, plus your movement. It knows how far you’re going, measures your stride rate when you run, even your cadence when you cycle. You can even wear it in the pool!

Wahoo 3 sports

I set my TICKR X so a voice comes on every mile and tells me my stats: duration of exercise, distance, pace, average heart rate, maximum heart rate, stride rate. So I know in real time, exactly how I’m performing.

Another beautiful thing: You don’t have to carry your phone at all if you don’t want to. The monitor will collect your workout data and remember it, to be synced later. This is perfect when I’m in the pool or on the bike and don’t want to be distracted with earbuds.

Use the TICKR X with the 7-Minute Workout app, and you’ve got a quick but intense workout that uses bodyweight only, as close as your smart phone. Fantastic for traveling and whenever you’re short on time.

Wahoo 7 minute workout

Personally I like adding on a round or two of the 7-minute workout apres-run or cycle. The TICKR X monitors your body position, counts your reps and measures your heart rate so you can track your progress over time. It even tells you if you’ve set a personal best! There’s an alternative 7-minute workout and a 7-minute Pilates workout available for 99 cents.

Sounds cool, yes? Trust me it is.

Enter to win a @WahooFitness TICKR X and track your activity the fun, easy way!

Note: I received the Wahoo TICKR X free of charge for review purposes and because I am a Brand Ambassador. All thoughts and opinions, as always, are my own.

I love that you don’t have to take your phone! Storing the information until you get home is a great feature, would make long training runs less cumbersome!

I love the idea of a HR monitor that you don’t need a watch or phone with! I think giving HR training a shot could really help my running, plus in the not too distance future I’m hoping to be pregnant, so a HR monitor would be very useful in safely keeping up with my workouts.
